Knowing the different meanings of behaviour and being able to deal with differences in values and thinking is fundamental for successful outcomes when working in an intercultural, diverse environment. When talking about cultural differences we should not only talk about cultural differences in terms of origin or nation as people differ in all sorts of ways. Beyond nationality, this can refer to age, gender, religion, sexual orientation etc. or simply different preferences with regards to working style.

Respecting the differences of others is the main goal of developing the positive aspects of diversity. This training provides an introduction to intercultural communication in the work place. With reference to practical case studies, the participants get to know how intercultural misunderstandings can arise and improve their skills in handling these situations in a culturally sensitive way. Consequently, the participants put the basics of intercultural communication into context of their personal work environment and their challenges. This training is directed to all people who work in intercultural work contexts.
